THE GREG MOORE YOUTH CENTRE WELCOME TO

The Greg Moore Youth Centre (GMYC), located at 11925 Haney Place, recently celebrated its 20 Year Anniversary with a tribute video full of stories from staff and participants who credit the GMYC as a key part of their personal development. Since opening in 2001, the GMYC has provided a safe and fun environment for youth to participate in recreation, connect with peers and mentors, develop leadership skills and to make a difference in our community.

LOUNGE The Lounge at the GMYC is perfect for socializing with friends, meeting new people and hanging out with staff. Near the heart of the Lounge, you will find Air Hockey, Ping Pong, Foosball, Billiards and space for playing cards or boardgames. Other amenities in this area of the GMYC include a room with musical equipment (drums, guitars, etc) and even a Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 for the gamers!

Even after two decades, the GMYC remains one of the only facilities of its kind in British Columbia. The GMYC is much more than a building - we hope you will visit to discover the adventures and relationships that await! ACTIVE AREA It doesn't get much more exciting than the Active Area at the GMYC! The Gymnasium is perfect for drop-in and registered programming like floor hockey, basketball and soccer, but is also often used as a gathering space and venue for community events. CULTURE IN MAPLE RIDGE

Culture embraces what defines us as a community and begins with our unique sense of place and identity. We believe that community connections and cultural expression enhances each of our lives. During this time of changing health guidelines, we are working with community partners, groups and individuals to provide safe opportunities for gatherings. Festivals and special events may take place outdoors and indoors using hybrid approaches as well as online and in-person options. As many event planners know, it takes a village to pull-off a festival and sufficient time and resources. As ideas are being developed, please keep in touch by checking our website and social media for updates.
