Weaving with Nature Age: 6Y-12Y

Learn the basic elements of weaving while using natural, botanical materials alongside colourful yarns. Exploration of textures, colours and composition will be encouraged in this five day introductory class. With small hand looms, children will create unique wall hangings in the first half of the week. In the second part of the week, simple hand stitching and cut felt shapes will be molded into tiny bugs and flowers or leaves. For those 8y+, Why not combine this camp with Clay Creations to make it a full day of activities? Lunch supervision provided. Location: The ACT

Clay Masters Age: 8Y-13Y

This class is designed for those students who want to learn about hand- building techniques as well as the fundamentals of creating pottery using a pottery wheel. Decorative finishes and adding fine texture will be emphasized.We will explore using under glazes and low-fire glazes to create one-of-a-kind creatures, masks, bowls, cups and more! Why not combine this camp withWonderfulWeaving to make it a full day of activities? Lunch supervision provided. We will use organic materials, yarns and felts to create our very own unique baskets and small objects. Students will be guided in simple basketry construction and encouraged to explore the materials and be inspired by the process to develop their own individual designs. Materials explored will include cedar bark, willow, wool yarns and felts, found organic materials, reeds, shells and grasses. For those 11y+, why not combine this camp with Clay Masters to make it a full day of activities? Lunch supervision provided. Location: The ACT Wonderful Weaving Age: 8Y-14Y

Using the revolutionary BBC micro:bit, a codeable mini-computer, learn coding and create Wii-like motion games and a digital piano with Kids Innovative. All equipment provided, including the micro:bit which students will take home with them at the end of class. Location: The ACT
