NEW SAFETY PROCEDURES

WELCOME! All of our day camps provide a fun, safe, active, inclusive andpositiveenvironment for children. Our goal is that, at the end of the summer, your child will have truly enjoyed their experience.We look forward tomeetingboth you and your child! Therearemanyexcitingopportunitiesplanned for the summer and we are confident that our day camps will be both a fun and memorable experience for all participants. Participants must be a minimum age at the start of camp. Fiveyearoldsmusthavecompletedkindergartentoregister in full daycamps. QUALITY SUPERVISION In order to maintain safe Covid-19 practices we have decreased participant’s ratios and increased our staffing. CONTACTLESS CAMP CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT To ensure the safe arrival and departure of all campers, parents/caregivers will be met at the designated drop- off/pick-up location to be checked in by a staff. Please note that parents/caregivers will not be permitted to enter the program space. At the end of the day staff will bring participants back to the pick-up location and check them out of camp. Ifyouknowinadvancethatyourchildwillbeabsent,please notify the camp staff. Follow up phone calls will be made if a participant is absent and staff have not been notified. Please note it is important that participants arrive no later than 15 minutes after the start of the program. Please note late pickupswill be charged$1 perminute. For the safety of all participants, authorized pickup persons will be asked to producephoto ID if theyarenot theparent/caregiver. REGISTRATION PACKAGES/ MEDICAL WAIVERS All camps require parents/guardians to fill out required participant forms. All of these forms are available online for parents/guardians to access online at mapleridge. ca/1473 as a fillable PDF. Please note required camp participant forms must be filled out completely and sent in via email (summercamps@mapleridge.ca) prior to the start of camp or your child will not be able to attend. Please notewewill not be accepting any forms in person in order to maintain our contactless camp check-in process. All completed forms need to be submitted to summercamps@mapleridge.ca.

LOST & FOUND We are not responsible for lost or damaged items. It will be important that parents/caregivers check their child’s backpack at pick-up to ensure they have not left any belongings behind. Aswe are facilitating outdoor camps this summer please note we will not be able to store lost and found items and it will be important all participants take their stuff home with them at the end of the day. SUN SENSE Sunscreenmustbebroughtdailyandlabelled. Participants will be required to apply their own sunscreen regularly. We encourage you to show your child how to properly apply sunscreen in advance. Staff will remind participants throughout the day to re-apply their own sunscreen. WEATHER All camp programs will continue to run during inclement weather. Wewill followour ExtremeWeatherGuidelines. Please dress your child appropriately for the outdoor weather.
