BABYSITTER TRAINING Age: 11–14

This Babysitting certification course will cover everything from managing difficult behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. This curriculum also provides improved learning when it comes to giving appropriate care in the event of an emergency. Please bring a doll or stuffed animal to class. Course materials are provided through KidProof. Please note, participants must be a minimum of 11 years of age (or completed grade 5). Participants will learn how to plan a safe route to and from school, who to go to for Help along the route, what to do if approached by a stranger and pedestrian, bicycle, skateboard, and rollerblade safety. Enjoy a morning cookie decorating with family or friends. This class can accommodate 4 participants per registration and must be accompanied by one adult. Each registered group will receive a Thanksgiving themed cookie kit that includes 12 cookies, icings, sprinkles, personalized items for decorating and practice sheets.
