NEW THIS FALL Pre-Requistes Required for Swimming Lesson Registration
LESSON & LEVEL INFORMATION
Swimming Lesson Registration Enhancement! Recreation Services is making an adjustment to the registration practice in response to resident feedback about the challenges faced when registering for high-demand swim lessons. The change is designed to provide more equitable access to all residents so as many people as possible have the opportunity to register into a swim lesson. What’s Changed Coming this Fall, the registration system will enforce level prerequisites so residents can only register for levels they are qualified to register into. This change will prevent single individuals from registering into multiple levels at once, which will result in a higher variety of residents successfully registering for a lesson. Learn More! Visit our website to view the FAQ’s around swim lesson prerequisites. MapleRidge.ca/SwimmingLessons

Simple Rules For Fun & Safe Pools Shower before you swim
Wear deck shoes or go barefoot Anything that ends up on the deck ends up in the pools. Please change into clean deck shoes or walk barefoot for your visit. Please have a cleansing shower to help keep our pools clean! Personal grooming products, daily dirt and other contaminants affect water quality, community health and disinfectant use. Wear proper attire Please wear only clean attire to the pool. Full body suits should be snug fitting and made of a lightweight, lycra fabric. Prevent pool fouling All swimmers are encouraged to visit the washroom before entering the pools. Proper attire for those with incontinence or infant/toddlers is important to contain accidental fouling of the pool water. Stay home if you’re sick Sharing is not always caring, especially when it comes to germs! If you are not well or have experience diarrhea recently, please stay home. Food free zone Only water is permitted on the pool deck. Don’t forget your reusable, non-glass drinking containers. Photo/Video devices Respect others when creating memories of your pool experience. Ensure photos contain your group only. No photos in change areas please.
Pool change rooms at closing Please be aware that the pool change rooms will close 15 minutes after the facility closes.
