Museum Hours

Museum on the Move brings free, accessible, and inclusive museum learning to all corners of Maple Ridge.

The goal of this project is to bring the museum’s stories and programs to the residents and visitors of our city by setting up a mini “pop-up” museum in locations that are frequented by the public as they go about their usual activities. This spring, find us at Earth Day, Pride, National Indigenous Peoples Day, and Canadian Multiculturalism Day!

LEGENDARY LAPIDARY: ROCKS, CRYSTALS, AND MINERALS IN HUMAN CULTURE April 2024 – May 2025

Created in partnership with the Maple Ridge Lapidary Club, the exhibit explores ways in which rocks and minerals show up in our daily lives, while also showing off the club’s impressive collections. The exhibit will only be on display until May 2025, so make sure to stop by to see this legendary exhibit while you can!

HEADSTONE PRESERVATION PROJECT The Maple Ridge and Whonnock cemeteries have graves dating back hundreds of years. Many of the people buried there do not have anyone left to care for their resting place. We are once again looking for locals who value historical preservation to help with the important task of cleaning and maintaining the headstones in our cemeteries.
