BOLD BY NATURE

Maple Ridge proudly acknowledges the traditional territory of the q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie) and qʼʷa:n̓ƛʼən (Kwantlen) First Nations. Known in Halkomelem as Q’wa?acstan’, “the place where the golden eagles are,” this land holds a deep cultural legacy. We honour the First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities who continue to enrich our region. Nestled between the Fraser River and the Golden Ears Mountains, Maple Ridge is a gateway to nature, culture, and adventure. Just 44 km from Vancouver, our city offers year-round activities—from scenic hikes, biking, and paddling excursions to vibrant arts, farm-fresh experiences, dining, and festivals. Whether you seek the great outdoors or cultural experiences, Maple Ridge welcomes you to explore, connect, and be inspired.

Our Neck of the Woods is Maple Ridge’s biggest free, festival celebration which brings world-class entertainment and fun into the heart of the city. Memorial Peace Park and sections of 224 Street transform into a buzzing, car-free festival zone packed with live music, family fun, food trucks, and local culture. Enjoy two live music stages featuring award‑winning Canadian talent, with dancing and festivities throughout the park. Sam Roberts headlined the festival in 2025 and The Strumbellas in 2024 — and we can’t wait to announce our artist lineup later this spring. Sip your favourite craft beer, cider, or non-alcoholic beverage as you peruse the local markets and grab incredible eats. Held each September, this walkable, all-ages event showcases the spirit of Maple Ridge and honours the traditional territories of the Katzie and Kwantlen First Nations. MapleRidge.ca/ONOTW
