EXPLORE GOLDEN EARS & ALOUETTE LAKE Golden Ears Provincial Park is one of British Columbia’s largest and most spectacular outdoor destinations, offering 62,000 hectares of pristine, wilderness featuring towering mountain peaks, ancient forests, sparkling lakes, and expansive trail networks. Just 15 minutes from downtown Maple Ridge, it is an ideal location for a peaceful day trip or a multi-day backcountry trek, offering year-round adventure for all ages and abilities.

HIKING & CAMPING Golden Ears’ 150 km of trails offers diverse hikes from easy forest strolls and family-friendly paths to challenging alpine treks and summit climbs. Popular trails include Lower Falls, East Canyon, and Gold Creek. Advanced hikes include the Golden Ears Summit Trail, and Panorama Ridge. Looking for an extended stay in the great outdoors? Camp at Gold Creek, or Alouette campgrounds with shower/washroom facilities and roomy sites built for trailers and large tent setups. Remote overnight facilities at Alder Flats offer cleared tent pads and bear-proof food/ garbage lockers. PADDLING & FISHING Explore the breathtaking, glacial waters of Alouette Lake by canoe, kayak, or paddleboat. Boat rentals are available from the Day-Use Area during peak season. Fishing is permitted in designated areas with a valid BC freshwater fishing licence. EQUESTRIAN TRAILS Golden Ears has over 20 km of designated equestrian trails that wind through forested landscapes and open terrain with mountain views. Camp with your horse at the Woodlands Group Site or ride on designated trails.
