Handbuilding with Clay Age: 6Y-9Y

Have fun with clay this Spring Break and see what amazing things you can build. Learn handbuilding techniques to create a range of fun and fantastical creatures and objects that you will decorate and take home with you once they have been fired. Decorative finishes and adding fine texture will be emphasized.We will explore using underglazes and low- fire glazes to create one of a kind creatures, masks, bowls, cups and more! Mix it up with Ms Janet in this fun filled camp where students will explore various ways of creating art including painting, sculpting, printmaking, and collaging. Students will have fun while they learn basic colour theory, perspective, line, and form. By the end of the week students will have a stunning portfolio of work that can be shared with family and friends.
