Top Left: The new Lions Park in central Maple Ridge opened in July of 2018 with an innovative new scooter and bike feature that was a hit with the neighbourhood kids. Top Right: During the summer the Maple Ridge Museum hosts the Music on the Wharf concert series at the Port Haney Wharf. It’s a beautiful venue to experience the Fraser River. Middle Left: The beginning of August saw the Emerald Pig Theatrical Society take over Memorial Peace Park with their annual ‘Bard on the Bandstand’ performance. Middle Right: The Maple Ridge Country Fest is one of BC’s longest running agricultural fairs with over a century of providing citizens with the opportunity to learn more about where their food comes from. Bottom: In August a new mural was unveiled on 224 Street in the alley north of McIntosh Avenue. Brandon Gabriel, a world class Kwantlen artist unveiled his work in a moving ceremony that included drumming and speeches from Kwantlen Chief Marilyn Gabriel.
