YEAR IN REVIEW PHOTOS
Top Left: In September the City of Maple Ridge entered into a partnership with the Katzie First Nation, Kwantlen First Nation and Alouette River Management Society to advocate for restoration of the Alouette watershed to mitigate the impacts of the Alouette Dam. Top Right: The Annual Cops For Cancer Ride came through Maple Ridge for a stop at the Ridge Meadows RCMP headquarters. Law enforcement members from around the Lower Mainland participate in this ride to raise funds and awareness about cancer research. Middle Left: The annual Fire Department Open House in October is a great family event where kids can learn about fire safety, participate in a number of fun activities and meet the Youth Academy members who are pictured here with the selfie photo frame. Middle Right: The Annual Golden Harvest event at The ACT Arts Centre features locally grown and produced food prepared by local restaurants and culinary arts students. It’s a great way to celebrate the harvest and the bounty of local farm offerings. Bottom Right: A significant amount of rain did not deter the crowds from coming to the annual Celebrate the Night fireworks at the end of October. It was a spectacular display!
