We are very pleased to present our new Learning and Development Calendar for 2021.

Our focus this year is to build a strong framework that supports the learning and development needs of our employees and the organization. We are continuing to expand and broaden learning opportunities beyond the classroom through self-directed learning options, virtual interactive webinar’s and providing tools that support learners to apply newly acquired competencies to further enable career progression. Our theme for 2021 is “”Connection.” In light of our new normal, we want to increase the degree of autonomy and connection amongst our staff by providing a wealth of resources, virtual training opportunities and engaging wellness tips, activities and events. Our Human Resources team responds to a number of requests to enroll in programs and courses or to facilitate and design customized programs. This level of initiative and drive is encouraged, as professional development will always remain an important priority for the City. We will continue to strive to offer progressive, relevant, quality programming that meets the needs of our employees and the organization. As you look through the 2021 courses, workshops and wellness initiatives, we hope you feel inspired to further pursue your personal and professional development.
