Whether you are a beginner or looking to grow your existing skill set – this is the pottery class for you! Our experienced and professional instructor will lead participants through hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques. Enjoy plenty of creative, muddy fun while learning to make mugs, bowls, and other unique clay creations. Students will learn the foundational steps for throwing clay on the pottery wheel. The instructor will provide demonstrations and support to shape and trim bowls and cups, practice glazing techniques and prepare works for kiln firing. Hand-building techniques will also be offered to those students interested. No experience necessary! This is an exciting opportunity to explore and create with a variety of art materials. Art activities include painting, collage, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture. Creative play will round out the fun. Bring a paint shirt.
