Introducing Artist in Residence, Colleen Brown Colleen is very curious about Maple Ridge and excited to meet members of the community. Colleen is an award-winning sculptor from Vancouver, and she just published her first book, If you lie down in a field, she will find you there. - with Radiant Press. Colleen is a committed teacher. In the last few years, she has taught students of all ages, working with young children in galleries, with teens in the classroom and seniors as part of community-based work. She is an instructor at Emily Carr University and Burnaby Art Gallery. If you are a member of a club or group who would like to get involved in the residency program or learn more about it, you can schedule Colleen to come speak with you . Drawing, Collage and Writing Workshop All Ages - FREE @ Albion Community Centre

Come draw and write together! There will be supplies on hand to light a creative spark in everyone. Colleen, will be facilitating open ended workshops that introduce techniques in drawing and writing that invite flights of fancy and rich observation. These workshops are open to all ages and skill levels. You are welcome to register for one evening or come to all four workshops this February.
