Butterflies and solar power? Spiders and protective glass? Geckos and super climbing? Whales and wind turbines? The natural world is full of incredible engineering marvels enhanced to near perfection. People have the advantage of amazing technology and design that we use in our everyday lives. Learn from nature and create your own fun engineering designs using locally-sourced, recyclable materials while building self-confidence and making new friends in a beautiful nature setting with our super-Eco camp team led by Dan Mikolay. The world around us has more to offer than often meets the eye. In this program participants will explore their outdoor surroundings and practice different art forms such as painting, drawing and journaling. Through active games, dramatic play and nature walks, participants will get their creative juices flowing for this adventure in art and nature. As this is an outdoor camp, children must come prepared for the weather daily. Location: Kanaka Creek Regional Park (11450 256 Street) Fee: $150 | Sessions: 5 M-F 8:45AM-4:00PM Mar 16-Mar 20 #11759 Join us for a hike in the woods to discover the plants and critters that live in these forests. Have fun learning about the trees and natural surroundings and why they are important to us while enjoying fresh air, exercise and the great outdoors. Participants will learn outdoor survival techniques, build shelters, develop outdoor skills, and play games and more.
