CHILD & YOUTH Pottery for Kids Age: 5Y - 9Y

Mini Comics and Mini Convention Age: 10Y – 14Y

Build your comic drawing and inking skills! Lisa Lake will guide you through the process of creating and publishing multiple copies of your own mini-comic which students get to sell at a special Mini Comic Convention. Invite friends and family, it's a fun event! The final convention date and time will be arranged to coincide with other ACT events for maximum fun and exposure. Express your creative ideas with clay. In this hands on pottery class students have an opportunity to explore a variety of hand building and with some visual art vocabulary! All supplies are included.

Creative Kids and Design Age: 5Y – 9Y

Pottery Age: 8Y – 13Y

Join Miss Janet as she guides students in fun hands on art activities each week. Students will have the chance to create and decorate objects made with air dry clay, fabric, shrink plastic and wood. Some of the projects include pinch pots, tote bags, necklaces, key chains and picture frames. Location: The ACT Craft Studio

Students will learn slab, pinching and coiling techniques to make both functional cups, bowls and plates as well as cool, creative sculptures. You will finish your projects with colourful glazes or paint. All Supplies are included.

Mix it up with Miss Janet! In this class students will explore various ways of creating exciting art projects including painting, sculpting, print making and collaging. Students will have fun while they learn basic colour theory, perspective, line and form. Location: The ACT Craft Studio

Drawing and Painting Age: 8Y – 13Y

Step into a world of colour with Lisa Lake as you explore pastel drawing and acrylic painting. Students will complete vibrant canvases using quality Chromacryl acrylic paints and will use their effective warm/cool colour mixing system.
