SAFETY & LEADERSHIP Home Alone 9Y – 13Y

If your child is spending time at home alone while you are busy running errands or working, this course will provide the skills needed for them to safely look after themselves. Interactive lessons and scenarios will help you and your kids feel more confident when they stay at home alone.

Babysitter Training 11Y - 17Y

Offers basic first aid and care-giving skills for youth 11-17 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies.The course also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families.

Aidabeganvolunteeringatcampsanddifferent children's groups around the community when she was 14 years old. She is now 20 and has been working for the Maple Ridge Children's Department for three years.
