Winter Program Guide 2018-19

On Saturday September 8, 2018, neighbours in West Side Manor held a work and play BBQ and block party! The group used over 50 Gallons of stain to re-paint their block’s fence and celebrated afterwards, getting to know their neighbours. While the weather was precarious, everyone came together to complete the fence stain before the rain started to fall. It just goes to show what you can get done with your neighbours while having fun too! More stories at neighbourhoodsmallgrants.ca/news. The Neighbourhood Small Grant Program is a unique initiative to help build community and strengthen connections right where people live. Applications accepted year round for: • Block Parties (e.g. BBQ’s, backyard clean-ups) • Youth Initiated Projects (e.g. Youth Talent Night, street hockey)

• Neighbourhood Improvement Matching Grants (e.g. library box, mural) • Environmental Protection (e.g. invasive weed removal, stream clean up)
