In my youth there were several teachers and youth workers who inspired me to go down this path. I remember spraining my ankle while skateboarding in Peace Park and the youth staff rushing over to make sure I was okay. I thought they were so cool and had the best job in the world. Today I can confirm we are indeed VERY cool and definitely have the best job in the world! My passions are music (guitar), cycling and occasionally still skateboarding. Last summer we ran a successful bike club and we're in the process of getting jam nights back in action. We even have a brand new drum kit!

"One of my favourite memories from my time at the Greg Moore Youth Centre was the opportunity to go to Lake Lovely Water with the staff and youth. I’ve made so many connections with the staff and made lots of friendships. It was a great week that I’ll never forget! A newprogram/activity I’d like to see at the GMYC would be a hiking group. The idea in my head is every other weekend or even once a month there would be a new place where we would go for a hike. Some advice for adults in Maple Ridge is to just remember that the youth and young people are the future of this community, and to support us - youth voices matter." I am constantly inspired by the humor, creativity and resiliency of the youth in our community."
