Celebrating the Seasons Music, Dancing, Food & Fun https://www.mapleridge.ca/1463 Maple Ridge has several festivals and annual parades, such as the Santa Claus Parade & Christmas in the Park, Earth Day, Canada Day, Happenings in the Park, Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations, Celebrate the Night Halloween & Fireworks event, the Caribbean Festival and one of the longest-running B.C. agricultural fairs, Country Fest, at the fairgrounds. Each November 11, Maple Ridge celebrates one of the largest Remembrance Day ceremonies in the Lower Mainland. This event is hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #88 with many veterans in attendance for the moving Cenotaph ceremony. Glow Maple Ridge – From the end of November to the first week of January, Maple Ridge transforms into a magical wonderland of dazzling lights, holiday music and glittering illumination. Traditional red bells line downtown streets and Memorial Peace Park is decked out with giant ornaments, a light tunnel, a glowing bandstand, and thousands of sparkling lights. At many festivals year-round and every Tuesday summer evening in Memorial Peace Park, the ever popular Maple Ridge Concert Band, established in 1946, entertains the community with Dixieland, big band swing, Broadway musicals and more.
