Welcome to Maple Ridge Aristotle once said ‘In all things of nature there is something of the marvelous’ and I invite you to experience the marvelous here in our beautiful City. Maple Ridge is a mecca for outdoor activity with over 200 km of local riding and hiking trails, 69 parks, 47 playgrounds and a number of lakes and wetlands to tempt and satisfy even the most avid nature lover and adventurer. We truly have something for everyone and if you’re looking for a less energetic adventure, the Maple Ridge Ale Trail or one of our many restaurants cater to the young and young at heart. Eco and Agri-tourism activities include the Bell Irving Fish Hatchery, the local cheese crafters and North Fraser Farmers Market to name just a few. If you’re feeling more adventurous, perhaps an outdoor activity park is worth a visit or a kayaking trip on one of our many waterways. Maple Ridge is also home to Golden Ears Provincial Park which is prized for its recreational opportunities including camping, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, windsurfing and water-skiing. If you love shopping, spend time visiting our many unique shops and boutiques and innovative businesses or fuel your cultural craving at The Act Art Centre, and explore local historic and heritage sites.

Maple Ridge is favoured by the filming industry with productions underway year-round. If our downtown seems familiar, it’s because you’ve seen it in hundreds of films, TV productions and commercials, and the iconic bandstand is the stage for numerous community festivals and events that start on Earth Day in the spring and culminate with the Santa Claus parade in December.
