Junior Ballet for Youth Age: 5 -8Y

Showstoppers: Musical Theatre Junior Level Age: 6 -9Y This musical theatre program has it all for those who love to sing, dance and act! Young performers will immerse themselves in these three areas of performance and show off their talents on the last day with a short performance for family and friends. In these sessions, students can sing, dance, and act while building confidence on stage. Students will have a short performance for families during the last class. Each week you will create something new, taking your piece from raw stone to a beautiful and smooth object that you can wear or keep as a precious memento. Ready to take ballet to the next step? Continue dancing by expanding ballet movements and gaining further technique. The instructor will provide a positive and supportive environment for dancers to move to the music while developing motor skills, self-esteem, and social interactions. Prerequisite required: Intro to Ballet for Preschoolers. No parent participation. Instructors will allow parent viewing at the end of the set, where you will be invited to see what they have learned throughout their classes. Jazz class involves stretching, and basic jazz movements combining steps in the center and across the floor. Students develop coordination, rhythm, posture, strength, flexibility and creativity. Develop your drawing skills and fundamentals using a variety of mediums such as pencil, pastel, charcoal, etc. Illustrate the elements of art within your drawings and practice drawing from observation.
