SPORT & FITNESS

This program can relieve your symptoms of arthritis and protect your joints from further damage. Range of Motion exercises get the joints to move and increase flexibility in the muscles. Strength exercises target specific muscle groups that can be helpful as part of your arthritis treatment. Cardio done either on chairs or standing, your choice, can help control weight. Ending with stretch and relaxation to help with pain control. *Medical Clearance may be required. “ParQ+” forms may be obtained online at HealthLinkBC. Please bring signed form to first class. On The Move with Parkinson’s Age: 16Y and up

This is a fun exercise program for individuals with Parkinson's Disease. Strengthen and lengthen your muscles through a series of movement, resistance, balance exercises followed by stretch and relaxation. Use of voice will be included. You have the choice of starting on the cycle bikes for warm up or, if you’d rather not, that’s ok too. mild to medium level, pick your own pace.
