Get your muddy buddies ready, because we’re getting wild! During these outdoor programs, children will get their hands dirty as they explore the park and surrounding wilderness. Activities such as imaginary play, forest bathing, scavenger hunts, crafts and more will inspire your child’s love for nature! Programs run rain or shine, so please come dressed for the weather! These are non-parent participation programs. Instructor: Children’s Recreation Staff Outdoor Explorers – Location: Albion Park Fee: $22 | Sessions: 1 W 10:30AM - 11:45AM May 8 #60492 West Coast Wildlife – Location: Albion Park Fee: $22 | Sessions: 1 Sa 10:30AM - 11:45AM May 25 #60494 This drop-in playgroup is for all families with children from newborns to 6 years old and consists of free play, circle time, crafts, drumming, healthy snacks, and bus tickets, as well as toys and resources in a warm, culturally diverse environment. Story Blanket program focuses on traditional Indigenous cultural teachings, such as the Medicine Wheel and the Seven Sacred Teachings. A local Elder attends and provides traditional knowledge and support along with Fraser River Indigenous Society Aboriginal Infant Development Program/ Aboriginal Supported Child Development Consultants. This is a parent/caregiver participation program.
