are moving and being active, and we try our best to maintain a safe, inclusive environment which is important for the well-being of all ages, and especially for kids. What’s something the children of Maple Ridge have taught you? ThechildrenofMapleRidgehave taught me the importance of individuality. I have met so many unique personalities who are proud to be exactly who they are. Their confidence and energy inspires me every day! If you could give one piece of advice to someone wanting to work in this field, what would it be? Be ready to try new things! Being able to adapt is important while working in this field, but also being flexible and brave to try new things will make it a whole new experience. Some of my greatest memories from this job has come from stepping out of my comfort zone.

How long have you been involved with Children’s Recreation? I started working with Children’s Recreation in March 2018. What got you interested in working with children in Maple Ridge? I became interested in working with children in Maple Ridge because I think it’s important to make connections throughout our community, and I loved the idea of being able to have a positive impact on kids’ everyday lives. What inspires you about the children you work with? The children I’ve worked with inspire me with their motivation to create, adventure and explore. They have shown me how to be more brave and open-minded during new experiences! What’s your passion and how do you bring it to work? I ampassionate about health and fitness regarding the mind and the body, and there are many ways we promote this at work. Our programs always ensure we
