YOUTH PROGRAMS

GMYC FACILITY HOURS Monday - Sunday 6:00 PM-9:30 PM Closures June 22 GMYC ACTIVE PASS Purchase your Greg Moore Active Pass for only $40 per year or $20 for 6 months. For ages 13Y-18Y. Includes: skating and climbing; 20% off special events & out trips; and entitles you to special discounts and activities.

The Greg Moore Youth Centre offers a variety of recreational opportunities for youth aged 13Y-18Y. Come down and start up a game of basketball or floor hockey during our open gym, or drop by the Youth Lounge for some relaxed fun. From pool to foose-ball to giant chess or just hanging with your friends, we know you’ll find something to do here. All of our programming is ‘youth initiated’, meaning, youth plan our programs for YOUth!

YOUTH WEEK

YouthWeek isaprovincial celebrationof youthheldannually during the first week of May. It is a week of fun, interaction, celebration intended to build strong connections between young people and their communities and to profile the issues, accomplishment, and diversity of youth across the province. PAINT/PIZZA NIGHT - MAY 1, 7:00 PM Bring your inspirations and create your own masterpiece. Youth will paint and enjoy some pizza. Supplies and pizza will be provided. Taking place at the Greg Moore Youth Centre. CINEMA NIGHT - MAY 2, 6:00 PM Youth will enjoy a movie with popcorn and drink at Hollywood 3 Cinemas. Transportation will be provided to and from the event. MENTORSHIP BBQ - MAY 3, 3:00 PM Come on out and celebrate the opening of the THSS Action park for the 2019 season. There will be free hot dogs, drinks and snacks available. Taking place at Thomas Haney Action Park.

WHOMP - MAY 4, 9:30 PM Our annual sleepover is back and will keep youth engaged all night long. Taking place at the Greg Moore Youth Centre. CULINARY EVENING - MAY 5, 6:00 PM Youth will learn the fine arts of preparation, cooking and presentation of food with our certified culinary staff, then enjoy a sit down meal together at the Greg Moore Youth Centre. YOUTH TALENT SHOW - MAY 6, 7:00 PM Celebrate the many talents of our Youth at the ACT Theatre! This is a great opportunity for our community to see youth shine. Auditions will begin in March. Please contact Clint Gamache at 604-467-7443. SUMMERPLANSLAM/BOWLING-MAY7, 6:30PM Youth Council will be busy planning all of our summer out trips, camping trips and fundraisers. After Youth will get to show off their bowling skills at Revs Lanes. Free pizza and pop will be provided.
