Move to the Music Get dancing in this new program for all ages and abilities! Each camp takes inspiration from different films or musicals. Students will learn amazing dance moves choreographed to hit tunes from shows we all know and love! The wheel throwing bootcamp is a 1-day intensive wheel throwing experience to help you hone skills through planned wheel throwing activities designed to help elevate your throwing techniques, speed, and consistency. In this workshop no finished pots will be kept just the tips & techniques you learn while also working on your ability to let go. (You will however hold on to good memories with new mud buddies!) Students must have some previous wheel throwing experience to participate. This 16th century technique can still be applied today in many creative ways to enhance your wheel thrown or hand-built pieces with narrative or decorative painted elements using overglaze colours. All levels of handbuilding and wheel throwing potters are welcome! Instructor: Emily Sheppard Location: The ACT ACT ART BURSARY PROGRAM The Arts Angels Program Bursary assists individuals who require support in order to participate in arts programs run by The ACT Arts Centre. Applications must be received prior to session start date and cover one term of one program per student. Please note that due to limited funds each year, financial assistance is not guaranteed.
