WELCOME! All of our programs and camps promote a fun, safe, active, inclusive and positive environment for children, where everyone is valued and respected. Our goal is that at the end of the program your child will have truly enjoyed their experience. We look forward to meeting both you and your child! AGE Please note participants must be the minimum age indicated for the program at the start of the program. Five year olds must have completed Kindergarten to register in full daycamps QUALITY SUPERVISION Staff-to-participant ratios reflects our commitment to safe, high-quality program supervision. The school age camp ratio is one leader to twelve participants (1:10). The camp ratio for pre-school camps is one leader to eight participants (1:7). Camp ratios are supplemented with support from responsible leadership volunteers. CODE OF CONDUCT Staff, volunteers, participants and parks and facility users are expected to follow the Rules and Regulations, by being considerate and respectful of other people and their rights, and by also demonstrating proper care and regard for City property and the property of others. CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT To ensure the safe arrival and departure of all participants parents/guardians will be met at the designated drop-off/ pick-up location to be signed in by a staff. Please note that parents/guardians will not be permitted to enter the program space unless it is a program that requires parent participation. At the end of the program staff will bring participants back to the pick-up location and check them out. CHILDREN’S PARTICIPANT FORMS COVID-19 ASSUMPTION OF RISK WAIVER All programs and camps require parents/guardians to fill out required participant forms. All of these forms are available online for parents/guardians to access at mapleridge.ca/1468 as a fillable PDF. Please note required participant forms must be filled out completely and sent via email ( prcchildrensprograms@mapleridge.ca ) prior to the start of your program.

EMAILS Please note that emails may be sent out by PRC prior to the start of each program your child is registered for to provide specific program details and/or reminders about participant forms. Please note any changes to programs will be communicated via email. Please ensure that your email is up to date in your Perfect Mind account. LOST & FOUND We are not responsible for lost or damaged items. It will be important that parents/guardians check their child’s backpack at pick-up to ensure they have not left any belongings behind. TECHNOLOGY Please note our programs and camps are tech free zones unless identified. If you require your child to have a tech device in a program or camp please contact the Children’s Supervisor team at prcchildrensprograms@mapleridge.ca to let us know. PEANUT/NUT AWARE Please note we operate peanut/nut aware programs and camps. All participants are required to bring a peanut/ nut aware snack and/or lunch for programs and camps. SUN SENSE Sunscreen must be brought daily and labelled. Participants will be encouraged to apply their own sunscreen regularly. We encourage you to show your child how to properly apply sunscreen in advance. Staff will remind participants throughout the day to re-apply their own sunscreen. WEATHER All camp programs that are scheduled outdoors will continue to run during inclement weather unless it is deemed unsafe. We will follow our Extreme Weather Guidelines. Please dress your child appropriately for the outdoor weather. DAYCAMP GUIDE We have created a Daycamp guide for parents/guardians to review to ensure the most successful camp experience.
