Summer Program Guide 2019

In Spring of last year, neighbours in the Silver Valley area identified a need to share resources with their growing community. Silver Valley is a large growth area of Maple Ridge with new houses being completed almost daily. With a neighbour having a love of carpentry, they set off to build a neighbourhood library box to start the "take and leave a book" program. The new box helps neighbours to share resources and to connect on shared interests. The library box is in constant use throughout the year with books being swapped out regularly.

Local neighbourhood library boxes offer a chance for neighbours to share resources and feel connected. Is there a library box near you? Or maybe you have another idea for your neighbourhood?
