WELCOME! All of our programs and camps promote a fun, safe, active, inclusive and positive environment for children, where everyone is valued and respected. Our goal is that at the end of the program your child will have truly enjoyed their experience. We look forward to meeting both you and your child! QUALITY SUPERVISION Staff to participant ratios reflect our commitment to safe, high-quality program supervision. The school age ratio is: one staff leader to twelve participants (1:12). The preschool age ratio is: one staff leader to eight participants (1:8). CODE OF CONDUCT We aim to provide activities in a fun, safe, active and inclusive environment. Participants are expected to be courteous and respectful to all participants and camp leaders. This includes use of non-offensive language, supporting each other and solving problems in an equitable and peaceful manner. EMAILS Emails will be sent out by the program team prior to the start of the program your child is registered for to provide specific program details, reminders and changes. Please ensure your email is up to date in your CMR Online Registration account. LOST & FOUND We are not responsible for lost or damaged items. It will be important that parents/guardians check their child’s backpack at pick-up to ensure they have not left any belongings behind.

TECHNOLOGY Please note our programs and camps are tech free zones unless identified. If you require your child to have a tech device in a program or camp please contact the Children’s Supervisor team at prcchildrensprograms@mapleridge.ca to let us know. PEANUT/NUT AWARE A reminder that we operate peanut/nut-free programs. Participants are required to bring a peanut/nut-free snack and or lunch when attending programs. SUN SENSE Sunscreen must be brought daily and labelled. Participants will be encouraged to apply their own sunscreen regularly. We encourage you to show your child how to properly apply sunscreen in advance. Staff will remind participants throughout the day to re-apply their own sunscreen. WEATHER All camp programs that are scheduled outdoors will continue to run during inclement weather unless it is deemed unsafe. We will follow our Extreme Weather Guidelines. Please dress your child appropriately for the outdoor weather. DAYCAMP GUIDE We have created a Daycamp guide for parents/guardians to review to ensure the most successful camp experience.
