TREES IN BLOOM APRIL 1, 2023 – APRIL 21, 2023

In honour of our exhibit, What Was Taken: The Forced Internment of Japanese Canadians in Maple Ridge we are encouraging people to practice hanami, the art of flower viewing. Visit Maple Ridge Museum to see the exhibit decorated in blossoms, take home crafts and a map to find the first apple trees planted in Maple Ridge, and visit the interactive map on our website to learn where to view trees in Maple Ridge that were planted by Japanese Canadian farmers. If you visit them, you might even win a prize!
