WELCOME! All programs and camps promote a fun, safe, active inclusive and positive environment for children where they are valued and respected. Our goal is that at the end of the program your child will have truly enjoyed their experience. We look forward to meeting you all! EMAILS & PROGRAM COMMUNICATION Emails will be sent out by the Children’s Supervisor team from prcchildrensprograms@mapleridge.ca prior to the start of the program to provide specific program details, reminders and changes. Please ensure your email is up to date in your CMR Online Registration account. CODE OF CONDUCT Participants are expected to be courteous and respectful to all participants and camp staff, always use non-offensive language, support, and appreciate each other, solve problems in a fair and peaceful manner. Please note that acts of physical and verbal aggression towards others can result in request for pick-up.. QUALITY SUPERVISION Staff to participant ratios reflect our commitment to safe, high quality program supervision. The school age ratio is: one staff leader to twelve participants (1:12). The preschool age ratio is: one staff leader to eight participants (1:8). LOST & FOUND We are not responsible for lost or damaged items. It will be important that parents/guardians check their child’s belongings at pick-up to ensure they have not left any belongings behind.

TECHNOLOGY Please note our programs and camps are tech free zones. If you require your child to have a tech device in a program or camp please contact the Children’s Supervisor team at

We operate peanut/nut aware programs. Staff will complete daily lunch/snack checks before sign in to ensure lunches are

allergy friendly. WEATHER

All camp programs that are scheduled outdoors will continue to run during inclement weather unless it is deemed unsafe. We will follow our Extreme Weather Guidelines. Please dress your child appropriately for the outdoor weather. SUN SENSE Sunscreen must be brought daily and labelled. Participants will be encouraged to apply their own sunscreen regularly. We encourage you to show your child how to properly apply sunscreen in advance. Staff will remind participants throughout the day to re-apply their own sunscreen. TOILETING All participants attending programs must be able to use the washroom independently. This includes cleaning themselves after toilet use, puling up & buttoning pants, hand washing, and changing clothing if needed.
