CERTIFICATIONS Babysitter Training Age: 11Y-18Y

The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course covers everything from managing difficult behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. This curriculum also provides improved learning when it comes to giving appropriate care in the event of an emergency. Please bring a doll or stuffed animal to class. Please note, participants must be a minimum of 11 years of age (or completed grade 5). This program helps participants learn the options available to them when they are faced with frustrating and difficult situations. Some of the topics covered in this program will be problem solving techniques for resolving conflicts, how to identify and analyze a conflict they may have experienced, to identify the potential consequences of using violence to resolve conflicts, examine different kinds of hurtful behaviour, conversation starters to help open communication with NEW Conflict Resolution Age: 10Y-14Y

CyberSafe Age: 8Y-11Y

The CyberSafe Internet Safety program focuses on teaching kids how to recognize warning signs, safe and unsafe situations, and the skills needed to make safe choices. It will also cover how to identify, avoid and respond to cyber bullying and how to get the most out of the course.
