Choose to Move Age:65Y+ Are you 65 and older and looking for motivation to become physically active? Join Choose to Move to help introduce the habit of physical activity into your daily life in ways that make sense for you. Choose to Move is free and flexible, and provides you with motivation and support to become more active. In Choose to Move, you receive group support. You will work with a trained activity coach to develop and stick to a physical activity plan. With the help of your activity coach and support group, you will find the motivation and accountability you need to achieve your goals. This fun and social program will get you moving in a relaxed and inviting class environment with like-minded people. Activaging focuses on improving activities of daily living, and strengthening muscles used day-to-day. Use your body weight to improve your fitness level! Enjoy a mix of gravity resistance and body movement. There are options given for all levels. Focus on Core, Back and Glutes for targeting those muscles we use for everyday activities. We will use Body Weight exercises for the ultimate workout to train strength, endurance, balance, coordination,

Get Up & Go Age: 55Y and up

Increase your independence and quality of life by improving your strength, balance, coordination and functional ability. This medically endorsed, specially designed exercise program focuses on education and falls prevention. In partnership with Fraser Health, this program is for those with osteoporosis and/or at risk of falls or fractures. Walking aids and a helper are welcome if needed.
