What drew me to Maple Ridge specifically is the strong sense of community and the opportunity to help youth build confidence, resilience, and connections in a safe and welcoming environment. What inspires you about the youth you work with? I am inspired by their creativity, energy, and determination. Each day, I see how capable and resourceful they are, and it motivates me to keep showing up and giving my best, Watching them overcome challenges and grow into their strengths is incredibly rewarding. What’s your passion and how do you bring it to work? My passion is creating inclusive spaces where all young people feel valued and supported. I bring this to work by listening to their voices, encouraging their ideas, and ensuring they know they belong. I aim to be both a guide and a motivator, helping them believe in themselves. What’s something the youth of Maple Ridge taught you? The youth of Maple Ridge have taught me the importance of adapablity and openness. They remind me that everyone has a unique perspective and that by listening and learning from them, we can grow together. If you could give one piece of advice to emerging adults and youth, what would it be? Believe in yourself and don’t be afraid to take chances. Growth often comes from stepping outside your comfort zone, and every experience whether if feels like a success or a setback, help shape who you are becoming.
