HAND-BUILDING VESSELS & SCULPTURE Age: 18Y and up

PAINT NIGHTS WITH TINA Age: 16Y and up

Learn to paint in this beginner-friendly painting class! Over the course of four weeks, artist Tina Ranger will guide you step-by-step in creating a beautiful painting covering everything from serene landscapes to delightful still-lives and more. No experience necessary - just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to paint your masterpiece!

In this class discover or continue to work with your hands in clay. With a combination of directed and self-directed projects, you will create intentional, functional vessels for everyday use, or sculptural/ figurative ceramics, to bring art into your everyday life. Appropriate for new and returning potters. Some tools may be required, or specific clay types so please check with your instructor. Please note: Clay must be purchased for an additional fee (price varies according to clay, including glazing and firing). Please check back in January for updates on the clay purchase process by visiting mapleridge.ca/arts or stopping by the ACT Arts Centre in person.

ACRYLIC PAINTING FOR BEGINNERS Age: 16Y and up Learn how to use acrylic paints in this creative class! You will learn techniques such as colour mixing and brushwork while focusing on a variety of subjects. You will also be encouraged to experiment with mixed media to create unique pieces of art.

SPRING BREAK POTTERY CAMP FOR ADULTS Age: 18Y and up Why should kids get all the fun at spring break? No work will be kept during this 5-day skill building wheel throwing course, creating a pressure-free environment to improve your technique or experiment with new forms. Join us if you want to work through a plateau, scale up your pieces or learn to create with more intention. Wheel throwing experience required. This class is for returning potters who have taken at least one course at the ACT. An understanding of the throwing process is essential and will not be covered by the instructor.
