From mugs and butter dishes to self-watering planters and lidded jars, every piece is chosen to reinforce foundational skills while offering an exciting challenge. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced potter, you’ll work at your own pace on thoughtfully crafted projects that help you grow from one class to the next. Please note: Clay must be purchased through The ACT website for an additional fee (price varies according to clay, including glazing and firing). Accessibility wheel available, please email theact@mapleridge.ca with your interest. 12:15PM - 3:15PM JAN 19 - MAR 2 #91863 MINDFUL POTTERY: HANDBUILDING & WHEEL THROWING Age: 18Y and up Start your day with a class designed to nourish both your creativity and your nervous system. Mindful Pottery blends calming music with intentional making, inviting you to slow down and truly enjoy the process. We focus a bit less on the final piece and more on the grounding experience of working with clay. This all-levels class encourages you to explore both wheel-throwing and handbuilding, learning to work with the clay rather than against it. Each session supports presence, curiosity, and gentle skill-building at a relaxed, supportive pace. A peaceful way to begin the week. Please note: Clay must be purchased for an additional fee (price varies according to clay, including glazing and firing). Please check back in January for updates on the clay purchase process by visiting mapleridge.ca/arts or stopping by the ACT Arts Centre in person.
