VALENTINE PAINT POURING WORKSHOP Age: 10 -14

A fun evening is planned with two popular paint pouring activities and a game. Learn colour theory, how to mix paint and create beautiful pieces of art with a Valentine’s Day theme. INTRODUCTION TO PAINT POURING Age: 10 -14

Paint Pouring aka: Fluid Art or Acrylic Pouring is a method of painting where acrylic paint is mixed with a pouring medium such as water, glue, or gloss medium to create a fluid like consistency (to help the paint ‘flow’). The mix is then poured onto a canvas, object or other surface and manipulated using various tools and techniques to create unique designs and patterns. Learn colour theory, how to mix paint and create beautiful pieces of art using popular paint pouring techniques. This program includes 2 (two) activities on 10x10 canvas. Wear something you don’t mind getting paint on (including shoes) as it can get a bit messy. SCHOOLS OUT: PRE–TEEN DROP-IN! Age: 10–13 This is a drop-in program supported by the RISE project. School’s Out is a pilot program for pre-teens offering a variety of play-based indoor and outdoor activities, with a focus on active games, arts and social recreation in a fun, safe and inclusive environment. If your child requires 1:1 support at school, the same level of support is required to participate in School’s Out. Supervised walk over from school is not provided. Youth can engage in a variety of different activities each week. This supervised FREE Drop-in program also encourages youth to come with other ideas they would like to see in the Centre.
