Let's "Explore-A-Story" together! Each session will be filled with fun activities, interactive play and a story time inspired by a different book. The featured books will be: : Where the Wild Things Are, The Hungry Hungry Caterpillar and Thank You Mr. Panda. Parent (adult) participant required. MUSIC TOGETHER® MIXED AGE CLASS Age: 0M -5 At Music Together® experience the joys of music making and the powerful benefits of having music in your child’s life. Find out how important - and how much fun - your role can be! Our 9 award-winning music collections and research-based curriculum supports parents at home and keeps the music making alive all week. In our mixed-age class, each child participates at their own level and their natural musicality is nurtured through singing, dancing, listening, watching the adults, and exploring musical instruments. The whole family is welcome - parents, grandparents, caregivers - for this important family music experience. 45 minutes of pure fun each week! Parent participation is required. Siblings under 10 months at the start of classes attend for free with a registered sibling. Course Fee: $88 due at the time of registration (per registered child). Family Licensing Fee: $65 due at first class - $65 Music Together Family Licensing fee is non-refundable after the first class. DRAWING, SCULPTING, WRITING WORKSHOPS - SEED TO FLOWER Age: 5+ Display your work at HUTCH. This Spring, we will create a seed and plant exchange for HUTCH. Workshop materials will be provided to create botanical drawings, decorate seed packets and create living sculptures. Many of the creations from the workshops will be displayed in the tiny gallery at the artist residence beside the Allouette River. There will be supplies on hand to light a creative spark in everyone. Colleen Brown, Maple Ridge Artist in Residence, will be facilitating open-ended workshops that introduce techniques in drawing and writing that invite flights of fancy and rich observation. This is an all-ages activity and adults are welcome. Children under the age of ten must be accompanied by a guardian.
