OPIO (KIDS) POLYNESIAN CULTURE & DANCE CAMP Age: 8 -12Y Looking for something different for your kids to do this summer? Register your keiki (kids) for a Polynesian dance, craft and cultural camp. Surrounded by nature at the beautiful ACC, your keiki will be immersed in Hawaiian culture; learning Hawaiian dance, language and music; crafting lei and cloth stamping with materials they will forage for; learning Hawaiian history and the incredible connections we have right here in BC with Hawaiian settlers. KAYAK/CANOE PADDLING SUMMER CAMP Age: 8 -14Y Learn kayak and canoe paddling in a fun and safe environment on Whonnock Lake. Learn basic skills of water safety, posture, stroke technique, coordination and balance in recreational kayaks and canoes. A variety of outdoor games and activities are included in the camp. Participants are briefly introduced to racing kayaks and canoes. Ridge Canoe and Kayak Club provides adaptive equipment to aid participants of all abilities to experience paddling. Join Cougar Volleyball at the Albion Sports Complex for a fun-filled week of volleyball, sports, arts & crafts, and more! Participants will learn the fundamentals of volleyball - including passing, setting, spiking, and serving - while enjoying a variety of engaging activities. Serving the Maple Ridge community since 2020, Cougar Volleyball encourages teamwork, leadership, and community spirit both on and off the court.
