PODCASTING FUNDAMENTALS Age 12 – 18

Join us for an exciting adventure in our new Teen Improv Drop-In Class! This is the perfect opportunity for young participants to dive into the world of improv comedy, make new friends, and have a blast. In a relaxed and supportive setting, students will learn the fundamentals of play, theatre games, and teamwork. Among the backdrop of an innately haunting landscape, enjoy a unique experience where human history and natural history meet. With lanterns lit, wander through the graveyard with Gina & Victoria of Haunted History BC. Learn about the superstitions of trees and shrub as part of the cemetery landscape, hear stories about restless spirits, spooky burial rituals, and cemetery folklore. A walk not to be overlooked by those who enjoy a good graveyard! Please wear appropriate attire and footwear. Rain or shine. This is an outdoor program please come dressed in appropriate clothing and footwear for the elements. Under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult. Hear about Sasquatch, the BC Triangle, Kanaka Creek Hat Man, and more! Gina and Victoria of Haunted History BC will take you on an easy, beautiful walking trail through the Kanaka Creek Regional Park along the Fraser River, recounting not only local history, but sharing legends which span the Canadian horizon from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Join us at “The Studio” to learn the fundamentals skills of podcasting. Youth will learn how to set-up and use professional podcasting equipment, the art of interviewing, recording and editing.

BIRTHDAY PARTY AT GREG MOORE YOUTH CENTRE Age: 7 -18Y Active Area Party Gather family and friends and enjoy an Active Party at the Greg Moore Youth Centre. Whether it be hockey, basketball or just a variety of active games, we have the space for you. The space is yours to be creative. The Centre has a variety of equipment that can be borrowed or bring your own. One staff will be provided to help set-up and provide equipment. Parents/Guardians are responsible for facilitating the party activities. Feel free to bring your own food and items to prep and serve. Upgrade Party to: Skateboard / Scooter / Bouldering Wall Party Bring your own Skateboard, Scooter, and helmet to ride the ramps and rails and enjoy your own indoor Skate Park! You will also have access to the Bouldering Wall. Two staff will be provided to set up all the ramps and to supervise participants. (max. 20 participants) Feel free to bring your own food and items to prep and serve. Waivers must be filled out prior to participating.
