RECREATION ACCESS

Recreation Therapy Services focuses on recreation as one component of a rehabilitation and recovery plan and is offered in partnership with Fraser Health - Mental Health and Substance Use Services. For details please call Shayna 604-467-7303. The Participation Program offers reduced admission and program fees to Maple Ridge residents who meet eligibility requirements. Enquire at the Leisure Centre or visit our website to learn more. Leisure Access is available for customers requiring support to participate in our leisure activities. Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a national charitable program that helps kids ages 4 to 18 participate in organized sports and recreation. For more detailed information, funding criteria and applications please visit jumpstart.canadiantire.ca.

KidSport is a community based funding program that provides grants up to a maximum of $300 to help with the cost of registration fees for children under the age of 18 to participate in community sports. Applications are online at www.kidsportcanada.ca. Completed applications can be dropped off at the Leisure Centre. For more information please email: mrpm@kidsportcanada.com

MAPLE RIDGE 2020 BC SUMMER GAMES Maple Ridge was unveiled as the 2020 Host City for the BC Summer Games in April 2017. Residents have since been eager to apply to volunteer for one of over 3000 positions required to execute the event. In January, the Maple Ridge Games Board of Directors will be hosting a Community Awareness Event which will kick off volunteer recruitment. We look forward to welcoming the team of passionate volunteers who will help make the Games the best they can be for our community!
