SEWING CLASS - TEEN FASHION Age: 11Y-15Y A fun and creative sewing series for youth, introducing them to the art of patchwork and sustainable fashion! In this beginner-friendly series, youth will learn how to use a sewing machine, work with natural fabrics , and create their very own simple garments (a sweater, long pants or bag). Each class encourages creativity, hands-on learning, and personalization, making it a great way for young learners to develop sewing skills while exploring eco friendly fashion techniques! BABYSITTER TRAINING COURSE Age: 10Y-14Y The Child Safe Canada Babysitter Training course provides participants with the skills and confidence to become safe, responsible babysitters. Participants will learn about babysitting responsibilities, child safety, basic first aid, emergency procedures, meal and snack time safety, diapering, age-appropriate play, child development, and basic childcare skills. This practical course helps prepare participants to care for children of different ages safely and confidently. This course supports children in building responsibility, confidence, and awareness while home alone. This craft-oriented workshop will allow kids to get initiated to all the basic elements of sewing. They will then design their own fanny pack, zippered pencil pouch or backpack - picking up the material and notions of their choice while proceeding to make it. Everyone will go home with a new handmade accessory perfect for their Fall adventures! No prior sewing experience is needed - just bring your imagination, and we’ll provide the rest! Participants will have the opportunity to sketch design, choose fabrics, trims, and adornments, learn how to safely handle a sewing machine, thread the machine and make a bobbin, cut fabric using sewing patterns, read a pattern, press fabric safely, and explore different KIDS SEWING – ACCESSORIES Age: 8Y-11Y
