Skateboarding and BMX: Albion Mountain Skills Park has jumps, a track, a trials area and a trail for all skill levels and types of cyclists. Thomas Haney Youth Action Parks is a professionally designed park with 17,000 square feet of modern plaza and bowl terrain. All levels of skateboarding, in-line, and BMX riding can be accommodated. Spectator seating is available for socializing. The Maple Ridge Woodlot has been painstakingly created by a small group of riders who have built a mountain bikers’ paradise of twisting ramps, ladders, jumps and steep descents. It is the place to ride in Maple Ridge for intermediate and advanced riders. https://trailforks.com Whonnock Lake The perfect place for a full day of fun. Take the entire family and enjoy the beautiful lake view. Based on the time of year, bring lawn chairs, beach blankets, towels, Frisbees, a volleyball, a good book, a swimsuit, and good quality sunscreen. Local kids say Whonnock Lake boasts the world’s largest tadpoles. They can be found in the shallow waters on the shore of the lake. Beside an ample grassy playground, there is an excellent small beach. There is also a gazebo that can be reserved and used for barbecues or to serve as a rain shelter.
