The opening of the Haney Farmers’ Market always begins with the cutting and serving of carrot cake and serves as the unofficial launch of summer in Maple Ridge.

At the beginning of May, the annual Home Show is a place for people from around the region to connect with the local businesses in a wide range of sectors, but with a particular focus on home improvement and renovations.

APRIL

The Kanaka Creek Fish Hatchery hosts an annual ‘Goodbye Chums’ event where youngsters help release salmon fry into the creek to begin their journey to the Pacific Ocean. This helps connect youth with the local ecosystems.

The annual Ridge Meadows South Asian Cultural Society Gala in 2019 had a focus on spotlighting the voices of women with an incredible panel discussion about immigration, opportunities in business and voices of advocacy for changes in multicultural communities.
