Arts - Women's Circle - Traditional Metis Beadwork Age: 16Y and up During this weekly women's circle, you will learn Metis beading while you share stories over a pot of tea. Work at your own pace on your bead work. Reap wellness as our heart rate slows, blood pressure regulates, shed stress and connect with other women. An evening of traditional art, mind and spirit. Learn to recognize what dance to use for what song and the timing of when to start. This course will explain how to recognize the different rhythm's songs have to offer, as well as how to use lyrics, bars of music and chord changes to start and stay on time to the music. This course is for those of you who have taken a Level 1 in each of these dances. However if you consider yourself a fast learner you are more than welcome to join. You will be reviewing Level 1 material first. Four weeks will be spent on each style and the last two classes reserved for review. Singles welcome.
