Active Aging - Get Up and Go! Age: 55Y and up

The Osteofit - Get Up & Go! program offers an appropriate entry level exercise program for seniors with balance and mobility impairments that would otherwise be unable to attend a community based exercise class. This exercise program is specially designed to improve strength, balance and coordination as well as functional ability, independence and quality of life. Program designed by BC Women's Osteoporosis Clinic and in partnership with Fraser Health.

If you want to sweat, have fun, burn calories and increase your muscle endurance then Power Core TRX is for you! This mix of gravity resistance and movement provides the ultimate workout to train strength, endurance, balance, coordination, flexibility, power and core stability. Options are given for all fitness levels.

40Y and up This Arthritis program includes a balance of three types of exercises: #1. Range-Of-Motion, #2. Strengthening, and #3. Endurance can relieve the symptoms of arthritis and protect joints from further damage. ROM exercises get the joints to move and increase flexibility in the muscles. Strengthening exercises that targets specific muscle groups can be helpful as part of your arthritis treatment. Endurance for your heart and lungs (cardio done on chairs or standing, your choice) is important and can help control weight.

On The Move With Parkinson's Age: 25Y and up

Instructor: Lifeline Fitness Location: Leisure Centre 6 Sessions:

This is a fun exercise program for individuals with Parkinson's Disease. We start with a warm up then move to exercises aimed at improving balance, gait, range of motion, agility, cognitive games then end with stretch and relaxation. All of this improves the quality of life. Must be able to climb up/down/ride stationary bike and walk independently or with walking aid. Patrons must fill out Par Med X form with Dr.'s consent signature prior to the start of the four week program.
