KARINA LEBLANC FIELD The Karina LeBlanc Field, the first of four new synthetic fields for our community, had its grand opening event this last May. This new field was partially funded with a Canada 150 Community Infrastructure grant.

Come and check out the new field, public artwork and park improvements at 22008 124 Ave. (Merkley Park).

ACCESSIBLE PLAYGROUNDS The playgrounds at Belle Morse and Alouette Park have recently been replacedwith newplaygrounds featuringmore accessible play components. The entry pathways to these playgrounds also received accessibility improvements to eliminate barriers around the play area. Some of the new components in the playgrounds include a “Spinning Sensory Wave Seat” and the “Zero – G” swing chair. Make sure to stop by and check out these new playgrounds. LIONS PARK PUMP TRACK & SPORTS COURT Come check out the newly installed basketball court, pump track and junior scooter course at Lions Park (12100 Laity St.). This project was part of a lifecycle replacement of the old tennis and basketball courts that needed to be repaired. Community feedback suggested the idea that a pump track and scooter course would be a great fit for the neighbourhood.
